Tin-based silicones, also called condensation-cure silicones, are two component materials
tin cured silicone can be poured onto models or they can be made brushable by adding a thixotropic additive, tin cured silicones can be used for casting polyurethane, epoxy and polyester resins, waxex, all gypsum products and low-temperature metals.
silicones features: silicones can be cure at room temperature RTV to flexible, high tear-strength rubbers, there are ideal for molds where easy release or high temperature resistance is required. Silicone using instructions Thoroughly shake/stir the curing agent before use. Weigh out 100 parts of Silastic S Silicone Mol***king Rubber base and 2or 3 parts of curing agent in a clean container. Accurate weighing is essential, as inaccuracies can cause a significant decrease in the performance of the cured rubber (the base to curing agent ratio must be between 100:2 and 100:3). Mix until the curing agent is completely dispersed in the base and a uniform color is obtained.
How to make a silicone rubber mold Step 1 : Prepare the two component: Part A is liquid silicon rubber , Part B is curing agent. Step 2 : Thoroughly shake/stir the curing agent before use. Weigh out 100 parts of Silastic S Silicone Mold making Rubber base and 2 parts of curing agent in a clean container. Step 3 : Add the curing agent to the silicon rubber. Step 4 : Mix suitably small quantities to ensure adequate working time Step 5 : Entrapped air should be removed in a vacuum chamber, allowing the mixture to completely expand and then collapse.( unually vacuumizeing time should be less than 10 minutes or if you do more than 10 minutes, you will can not operate it for the fast solidifying.) Step 6 : After 3-5 minutes, take out the silicon rubber from the vacuum chamber.Pour the silicon to the mold substrates. Step 7 : Entrapped air should be removed in a vacuum chamber again.
